Due
to the island’s raw, natural beauty, other daily excursions
around the islands concentrate on sight seeing, with longtail
boats providing the transport. Some tour operators offer
larger boats with bigger areas of shade, not a bad option,
considering the strength of the sun in these parts. One
interesting excursion is a trip to the Viking Cave on Phi
Phi Ley where there are numerous cave paintings. this is
also a place to find swiftlets whose nests are the prime
ingredient in the claimed 'medicinal' birds nest soup.
Aside from the first rate scuba diving found around these
and the surrounding islands, other attractions include big
game fishing, rock climbing and sailing.
