Australia PADI Asia Pacific Instructor Exam In Cairns, Queensland |
Nine candidates completed their weekend Instructor Examinations in Queensland recently including Open Water evaluations that took place in the Mulgrave River, chosen on this occasion for its vicinity to Cairns.
The river, which is famous for fishing, provided this group with the experience of diving in fresh water and in temperatures considerably cooler than those usually enjoyed on the Great Barrier Reef. Instructor Examiner Mike Holme reports that before they began the evaluations, local PADI Course Director Keith Cardwell presented a site orientation including descriptions of the terrapins and eels to be found in the river, with a guarantee that there were no crocodiles in the area at the time! Congratulations to the new PADI Instructors! The beautiful Mulgrave River, also a popular fishing location in Cairns, Queensland.
